The world of dog guardianship is FULL of people telling you what you SHOULD and SHOULD NOT be doing and quite honestly I\u2019m so DONE with this. The constant battle of \u2018this is what I do\u2019 or \u2018my trainer says\u2019 .. I\u2019m sure you\u2019ve heard it all and possibly been guilty of giving out the unsolicited advice (its okay I have too!).\u00a0 We know that positive reinforcement works wonders for our dogs, they do something good and we give them something to feel good as a reward and hey presto &#8211; they continue to offer more good things. What a lovely cycle this can be and why aren\u2019t we applying this to the human side of dog training too? Praising when others are doing great things, cheering them on and making them FEEL GOOD when you see them supporting their dog in the best way they know how.
